| DSL uses your existing phone service to
provide you high speed internet access. The above image illustrates
the connection process. Essentially, you, the end user, will be connected
to the internet via the phone company and your internet service provider.
DSL does differ from your phone service in that you will need a dsl
cable modem and a corresponding ethernet card or USB connection to
the computer for the high speed service. These two pieces of hardware
allow for your computer to receive the broadband internet connection.
